  • Gravity, secret single track

    by simon.drummond Written Oct 23, 2011

I used to race motocross all through school and did a two day motocross trip out of la paz which included the worlds most dangerous road when it was empty late in the day. After this I visited gravities website as I had heard about their reputation all over south america. I watched their youtube video of their secret single track which looked awesome......all I need to say is it certainly lived up to expectation, quite simply the most fun I had in south america....never thought id pick a mountainbike over a motocross bike! Awesome kona bikes, awesome day! Am going back to la paz just to do their sorata trip!

Only for people resonablly experienced on a mountain bike. If your not confident, I suggest their worlds most dangerous road trip!

Equipment: Just need suncream, gravity provide everything else!

The road to Los Yungas, it´s better know as the DEATH ROAD. Its name comes from the average of so many car accidents than frecuentely happen.
this amazing tour starts at, 4700m. and finish at 1800m. (Coroico)
Coroico is a beautiful city located at 3:30. from la paz, by bus. if you get there by bike you can spend about 6 hours.
there are many travel agencies that offers this tour.
Note: to see more pics, please check my Coroico`s travelogue

Equipment: try this experience the only way to do is renting a bike with all the equipment (gloves, helmet and of course the safest mountain bike, with good brakes)

Soccer as the Americans call or football. Although we are not good at playing at, it`s the most popular sport in Bolivia.
if you come from Copacabana you´ll find plenty of soccer fields in the countryside.

Equipment: Not a great amount of money, maybe sun glasses and a good camera.

CLIMBING ON THE WIDE RANGE MOUNTAINS (andes)

    by marcelo15 Updated Jul 31, 2005

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    manuel, tony, victor, eduardo.

This is so special, because the wide range mountains is part of the Ande´s mountains. i suggest to climb at the following mountains: Huayna Potosi (6011m). Condoriri (5040m). Illimani (6490m). also there are other mountains to climb at.

Equipment: Of course the best equipment. you can bring yours or rent them at any travel agency that offers the service.
