When arriving to La Paz International Airport beware of the travel agency inside the Ariport. They will charge you in advance for any reservation at higher prices. Eg. I payed 45 USD for a room in Hotel Rosario that was originally USD 37.00.
Also, the rate of the exchange house is lower than you will find at any other place... Also only they charge you a fee (Bs. 20) for the transaction. Leave a Comment

In some areas there is people who will trowh mustard (or something similar) in your back. They want to pick up your things while you try to see what's going on.
Allways change your money at your hotel or a travel agency. Sudamer (in camacho and loayza) will give you the better change rate. They accept any currency and Travelers checks. Leave a Comment

I would consider this one almost as a tourist trap.
It is a small area, and -according to my opinion- the pics look more impressive then it was in reality !
