Fondest memory: Apart from chewing coca leaves, which you can read on my Peru page, buying dynamite for a miner in Potisi.
visit Tarija...It's different, more real, ('not made for tourists')
You can see how the people make wine, dinosaurius fossiles and an authentic 'land life'.
Favorite thing: The salar de Uyuni is as important as are other places like Sucre for relaxing and learning Spanish or the train cemetry in Uyuni...as are sooo many other beautiful places!!!
Favorite thing: I visited the Santa Cruz zoo jaguar enclosure for a couple of hours and will never forget it. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
Favorite thing: The collection of birds and animals is limited to those from South America. This ensures the animals are living in familiar conditions - no polar bears down here!
Favorite thing: Check out Copacabana - Bolivian style! This peaceful little town lies on the shores of Lake Titicaca just 9kms from the Peruvian border.
Favorite thing: center of La Paz around the cathedral, close you find the witches market in Calle Linares
Favorite thing: NO SUPERMARKETS...OR EVEN VERY BIG STORES, IT SEEMS. MOST COMMERCE TAKES PLACE ON THE STREETS, SORT OF LIKE A BIG, COLORFUL BAZAAR/MARKET.
Favorite thing: la mayor parte de la población bolivia es indígena, aqui tenemos a una madre enseñando a sus dos hijas a tener el Aguayo (termino quechua).
