  • With scenery like this, go to bed...

Though Bolivia has some spots to spend the evening hours especially in the bigger cities, its true calling card is unabashed nature. With scenery like this, it's best to go to bed early and enjoy what nature provides.

  • Friday Nights in Cochabamba

Cochabamba at night. In Cochabamba people start partying late and they like to drink in the street. In fact you can leave a nightclub with a traveler. No need for ID folks, they don’t card for anything. You can sneak in anything. There is always re-entry and you can smoke inside. There are many clubs around Cochabamba especially Near Avenida Ayuni....

  • Crasiest club ever,

It's a red lights club but no porno is in there, it's just the atmosphere is very erotic. There is good music and it's usually open until late. If you want to have an intensive and trasgressive night you should definitely go there.. all taxi drivers know the place.. the entrance in this place is free. No need.

  • Uyuni : Locoooooo !!!

The best place in Uyuni to enjoy drinks with great music (french one, often !)... and it's the only place, whatever !!Le meilleur endroit (et le seul) d'Uyuni pour boire des coups et ecouter de la pure zique (francaise, bien sur !)...

  • La Paz by night

Once the sun sets in La Paz, the temperature drops dramatically. Instead of going home (often to unheated apartments), many locals seek the warmth of bars and pubs. The nightlife scene in La Paz can hardly compare to New York or even Buenos Aires, but there are some funky places in the heart of the city where you can relax and kick back a few...

  • We enjoy going to places that...

We enjoy going to places that show local folklore. This way we can learn a bit more about the people which in turn will make our holiday a bit better.

While in Santa Cruz, I reconmend that you try and hang out at Automania. Cool little club with an auto racing theme. Most of the young people gather there to drink and socialize. Here is the web site Most people in Bolivia dress nice. The guys are always wearing pants, regardless of how hot it is, the women just dress plain...

  • When it comes to nightlife...

When it comes to nightlife nothing like Santa Cruz. Check out the bars, restaurants and clubs in the happening neighborhood of Equipetrol along the Avenida San Martín. Check out my travelogue for more pictures! The night here starts around 20:30 with dinner, then people walk or drive around the main strip, the bars don’t start filling up until...

  • Traveling to Bolivia and not...

Traveling to Bolivia and not going to a pena is like going to Disneyworld and not riding Pirates of the Caribbean! Penas (a Bolivian folkloric dance) can be found all over the country and make for great nightime activities. The most popular are in La Paz and can last until the wee hours of the morning. And don't forget to take into consideration...

  • La Paz : El Forum (jet set &...

La Paz : El Forum (jet set & clubbers) y El Underground (young junkies). If you want to see tall blond girls in La Paz, go to el Forum, and if you want to see teenagers taking exctasy and dancing with techno music from the 80's, go to el Underground. For anything else don't go there ! Clean clothes for tourists are necessary and enough.

  • Although too young to remember...

Although too young to remember I have been told that the night life in Santa Cruz is amazing....Equipetrol (not sure of that spelling) is like the equivalent of the 'Grove'in Miami! :) Like in most Spanish countries, you will find that most people take great care and value much their appearance. Although, you might fit right in wearing a pair of...

  • Night life is so essential in...

Night life is so essential in the lives of the Cambas. It may vary night to night from vecino's parties (neigbourhood parties) to going dancing to nice clubs. Music varies as well in many of these places, from Salsa to rock!!Some of the places I liked to go were: Auto Mania, El Tunnel, El otro lado, and more places like Lito Bar.I liked el Tunnel,...

Usually it started at the Prado, where you can meet a lot of people. Plus, its so cold you can't stop walking and the Prado is so short, so you are just walking and talking and bumping into all the friends. There are plenty of bars and clubs, one of the best clubs is Forum, another pub is Equinoccio.Equinoccio oftenly has great live bands playing....

  • The best spot in Cochabamba es...

The best spot in Cochabamba es Calle Espana. You have a whole street full of the best coffee shops and bars in town. Try Metropolis first and go up try all the bars and styles the street offers. You can not miss it, since all the young and interesting people hang out in the area from 8:00 til late nights. For every taste. You feel free and dress...

  • La Paz; late night bar -...

La Paz; late night bar - 'Wakey's'; not publicised - so find out from a local or other backpackers how to get there. Check out the dedications on the walls and add your own. Good to finish off a big night.

  • Las Peñas en La Paz.

Perhaps I wasnt in mood. but I came in one of this Peña and I find it little bored. Well, there are very good musicians, and the place may result funny. But, is little expensive. There are lots of places, the best are near the Iglesis de San Francisco.Ahh No estaba de humor cuando fui a una de estas Peñas. Así es que me emborraché. La música es...
