There's a Magical Island.

by jio

There's a Magical Island. But whisper it quietly for it will surely dissappear. On the magnificent and fabled lake of Titicaca, is an island so tranquil, that even the Incas believed it was their birthplace. The Island of the Sun is serenity. Stone pathways wind through wind rustled groves, while the sun bakes the earth. Shepherds transcend the Inca terraces insearch of water and give cheeky 7 yearold smiles.

An age of the Innocents.

by jio

An age of the Innocents. The peepers are everywhere. Behind the paintflaking door or around the crumbling adobe wall, peepers are watching. Mostly its the curiousity of innocence at work of wee kids or old women. But theres something telling in those eyes. They give away their secrets when you look closer. Troubled pasts and uncertain futures.

Time isn't sure what to do with Bolivia.

by jio

Time isn't sure what to do with Bolivia. So it does nothing. Building fall asleep in the sun, animals dont move and days sweep past without thought. Look around. Often the quite long days provide a window into ancient days. The 1600s its seems were just yesterday. Weren't they?

Sud Lipez ... LAGUNA COLORADA

by Aurelien5480

Trinidad : The fighting rusters... Coqs de combat

by Maillekeul

I had never seen one fighting ruster before, and it looks very different from the regular chicken...J'avais jamais vu de coq de combat avant, mais ca ressemble vraiment pas au poulet de basse-cour...

Dinosaur Tracks

by AlbuqRay

About 5 km. outside Sucre at a cement plant, they found dinosaur tracks in an almost vertical limestone wall. Unfortunately it was closed for the day when I arrived by taxi around 16:30 and I had to leave too early the next day to take the Dino-Truck tour from the plaza. From the fence I could see a line of tracks running diagonally up the wall but not much else. Evidently there are over 5000 footprints there.

Coroico Valley

by pepples46

Yungas..Coroico Valley, where one can find at the alltitude of 1800m, Bananatrees and fields of Coffee Shrubs. And a fine Hostel, at any ones Convinience. We traveled by Bus and Taxi, where one could set a price those day's, bit more expensive than the Bus. Just a bit.....a fellow traveler told me, the taxifares still are good value these days. we found being in control of luggage, valuables and time, and also we could stop where we thought getting a great camarashot. just be clear to set the price before the journey*

by cbeaujean

the most spectacular mountain road i met!mountain road between la paz and coroico...unfortunately,now,they are building a new one...by the way,the only bolivian road where they keep left...looking the left wheel to avoid chasm...a lot of victims and fatalities every year!statistically ,around 40 trucks dive every year in the 1000m deep precipice.not too many compared to the incredible traffic!

The cemetary of trains

by chancay

Maybe it´s not that unknown, but neither it´s on the normal list of places to visit in Bolivia. But when you got to Uyuni to start a trip to the Salr of Uyuni, the biggest salt lake in the world, you have to visit this place, more or less 20 minutes by feet out of the town of Uyuni. Do this at 5 o´clock in the afternoon and you will have a really special view with the sun going down over the cementary.
