We didn't do so and tried to see the city on foot. It's possible (plan at least two days to see walk all the main sights) but it's quite exhausting. Be sure to bring sun block with you and use it even when it's cloudy. The cities altitude is more than 1.000 m - the sun will get you painfully! Leave a Comment

For being the capital of power, it is interesting to know the "palaces" and monuments, like the Cathedral, Alvorada´s Palace, etc.
However, most different and exciting it´s the architecture of the city. Therefore, these strolls are not THAT boring...
Ah... I cannot forget talking to you about the natural beauties: the typical fauna and flora, to few meters of the center. Without speaking in waterfalls and the ecological tracks, that are several!!!
Without ANY doubt, the prettiest thing in Brasilia is the sunset, in tones of orange, yellow, rose, blue and lilac... Believe me: you´ve never saw anything like that...

It has one of the largest number of Olympic-sized swimming pools per capita in the world!
When visiting Brasilia, YOU MUST visit:
1) ACADEMIA DE TENIS, for a movie, leisure of a good meal at 'Francisco Restaurant'
2) the city SHOPPING CENTRES, such as Parkshopping, Patio Brasil, Brasilia Shopping.
3) the TV TOWER, for spectacular views of the centre of administration buildings and local weekend market!
Best friend Cris and Ricardo impersonating Angels to help people cross the extremely wide avenues of Eixao Norte!

Brasília, the country’s recently built capital is a great tourist attraction. Niemeyer designed it in a futuristic style, with gardens and wide avenues. Located on a plateau, it has a dry, temperate climate, pleasant throughout the year. Sightseeing tours of the city include a visit to the National Theater, built like a pyramid; the Congress Plaza ; and many other interesting spots.

The architecture is amazing and the city is calm compare to others capitols in Brazil.
