A beautiful location, quiet, romantic atmosphere and great food. They had a nice basso novo band playing the night I was there. It's on the lake and not easy to find, but well worth the trip. MAKE SURE TO HAVE A RESERVATION!

Lots of restaurants on this block. El Paso for American, a Japanese/Thai restaurant, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, etc.

Simple place, great prices, amazing attendance to the customer, delicious food... during the day, an excellent familiar restaurant. At night, an open bar full off interesting people: journalists, actors, GLS, alternatives, clubbers, etc!

Then the food, for those who like tapioca, is great: they present a variety of almost 100 fillings for the tapioca (cassava flour "tortilla"), both salt and sweet. Coffee here is very good, too.
My favourite (because very traditional) is Mandacaru, that comes filled with cassava purée and jerked meat. Best eaten with manteiga de garrafa (sticky liquid bottled butter, to be used like olive oil).
