Barra do Itariri Travel Guide

When you are on the Linha Verde (highway) take the Conde exit, afterwards drive to Sitio do Conde (this actually means the coast of Conde in Portuguese). There you can OR take a right to lovely Barra de Itariri, or take a left at the Panificadora (or bakery). If you take a left, and drive about 15 minutes on the sand road, you will arrive in a small fisherman's village called Poças. I actually live here, it is amazing.. There is only one street, 1 church, 1 small grocery store, a couple of houses and some pousada's. That's about it! I am living in a house on the beach. Imagine waking up everyday and seeing the ocean, palm trees, the beach.. Or starting your day with a quick swim in the pool. Jealous yet? Haha.. If you are interested in taking surfing classes, this is possible at Bahia Surf.
