From Bom Despacho a bus to Valença (R$ 9.-) and from here a speed boat to Boipeba (R$ 35.-)
Ferry : 1 hour
Bus: 1:40 to 2 hs
Boat : 1 hour

If you are heading to Boipeba from Valenca -- it is well worth pooling your resources to hire a speed boat to get you there. If you aren't careful (like us) you'll end up on the fast boat to knowhere ... otherwise known as the "river bus" that'll take you up to four hours to get to your destination. The river bus will stop for anyone on the river banks ... whereas your speedboat zips on by.
