If you take a walk in to the hills and go across the island, you will find that the island is still very untouched.
The terrain is very rugged and beautiful and you should preferably go with a local that knows the terrain as you might get lost there otherwise.
When you consider how the beqaches on the island are always packed then it is interesting to see that the hills barely have any perople.
If you visit the island you must go and visit Carla and Lisa that spends their school holidays working on the island.
They are very nice and interesting girls to be around.
If you ever thought that all the good looking brazilians were uneducated and simple minded then you are up for a suprise.
Hanging out with them taught me more about Brazil than any book could do.
If you love brazilian beachlife, then segunda praia is your place.
That place is so full of life both during the day and during the evening.
Always a football or a volleyball game going on and music in every bar.
If you want to study brazilian beach culture, then this is the place.
On the second beach (segunda praia) there lot's of beach bars too that severs seafood.
The seafood is fantastic, the setting too and you can't complain about the people serving you either.
Favorite Dish: Moqueca do peixe.
Fish in coconut sauce.
Incredible value....8 Euros will buy you a selection of salads from the buffet and as much delicious meat as you can possibly eat, with a cocktail thrown in. Sit on second beach and have the meat sliced to order at this excellent churrasceria. Staff are fun and friendly and the busiest pub on the island is right next door
Favorite Dish: Go for the all your can eat bbq. Everything from fillet steak to pork sausages to ribs. All the salads you could want and some excellent caipifrutas cocktails. Best value ever.
Like on most brazilian beaches, there is always some kinda party happening.
You will be welcome and this is the way to expreince Brazil and it´s citizens.
