    Catamaran

Morro is 2 hours and a half by catamaran from Salvador (Mercado modelo). Though normally I very much enjoy the views and the cruise, this one is kind of rough and there are lots of people getting sick on board …so its not my idea of enjoyable…

    Boggies

There are some boogies that you can rent or use as taxis, but I never took one, it's so nice just to walk arround!!!

Hay algunos boggies que se alquila o usan como taxi, pero yo no tome ninguno es tan lindo caminar ahi!

    Airstrip on Morro

For around 350 R$ you can fly to/from Morro. It is a real fun experience if you like flying, as the small airplane goes very low, so that all details on the ground are visible. The trip is about ½ hour. From the airport of Morro you will be transferred to your place of accomodation by the "transfer tractor"

    Tractor buses

    The local bus

They have tractors as buses to deal with the rough terrain. This like the taxiis like a funfair ride but more bumpy. These are usually free from hotels and the local people use them too. I didnt see any of them pay. If you are made to pay, there are always guys driving around on tractors whch you can bum a ride off by just flagging them down.

    Sports car style taxi

    Me in the crazy taxi

The beaches are probably within walking distance to get to but the rough terrain and lack of lighting mean that it is almost impossible to do this. We were able to get a taxi from out hotel on the fourth beach to the second beach for 25 reais.

It was topless and very faast... the drivers in Brazil are crazy. It was like a cross between a funfair ride and Blair witch Project, and very fun.

    The plane

The smallest plane that we ever flew with but much nicer than the catamaran. It costs about 170 reais as opposed to the catamaran which is 50 but this is money well spent:)
