Take the ferry to the small island off of Porto Segurowhich is called Trancoso. There are some nice beaches w/ some cool bars to hang out. I had the best Pina Colada in my life at one of these spots and was relaxing for a while in a hammock that they had hanging in a covered area near the bar.

you have to try guaiamum, (the name they use for crabs...!)
its not easy to find in regular restaurants, that´s why i posted this here,
off the beathen path tip, but easy to find if you ask anyone.
