This private-owned restaurant grows all the fruits and vegetables in their own garden without fertilizers or additives.
We ate the Mariscada-dish, which you can order for 2, 4 or 8 persons. Our total for 7 persons including service was R$ 280,00 including the fantastic frozen fruit juices as appetizers.
The atmosphere is also extraordinary as the restaurant has a "jungle-view" and you can also hear the animals and birds.
Favorite Dish: The Mariscada-dish is a stew containing 13 different seafoods, cashew nuts, biribiri etc. all simmered in coconut milk and served with herbal rice , manioc and farofa. The Mariscada has also dende-fruits to give extra flavor but don't eat these fruits that look like yellowish avocado seeds! The prices might seem high on the first glance, but they include a great fresh-fruit basket for dessert.
Situated in a non-touristic part of town, the place is literally hidden but oh trust me, hunting it is worth the sweat! The food is abundant and the ambience is delicious - the backyard of a farm stuck in the middle of the city, with a green and thick view, sound of birds and hens, fruits for dessert picked on the trees just after you point them out! Perfect scenario to have a banquet. I went there with a VIP and therefore didn´t pay a dime, but it seems like the place is a bit expensive. Whatever it costs, it´s WORTH! The owner, Luiz Gilberto Pimentel, is the sweetest person ever and always takes pictures of the costumers. The main culinary magazine often dedicates many compliments to the place, but the owner and chef refuses to let them publish the address...
