Favorite thing: u have to go by car because its kinda far, around 15 minutes from the center.
Fondest memory: There is a wonderful restaurant. My suggestion is to go to this beach and spend the whole day there.
Try the "moqueca" or "bobo de camarão", two typical foods from this area.

Favorite thing: According to the historians, the Portuguese, after mailing throug the ocean open waters, perceived a mountain that showed them the way to the coast.
It was MONTE PASCOAL,today a National Park.
After arriving at what is today Porto Seguro,
they continued to the South and found "Pataxos" indian tribe, which became an indian reserve, and years later transformed into this natural paradise:
Trancoso!
Trancoso town was originated from a jesuit settlement, from 1586.In 1759,with the jesuits expelling, the village started with 62 houses,14 of them with tile rrof and the rest with straw roof. This was the beggining of today's "Quadrado Historico",center of Trancoso, which in the early 60's didn't know National currency!
The majority of people are Indians and natives, once evangelized by the jesuits.
In 1976,Trancoso was rediscovered by young people who looked for an alternative way of life, leaving the big cities-htey found a natural paradise still inhabited by natives!
Fondest memory: The best place:the bars at "Quadrado Historico",one of the best beach bars area in Brazil for me!

Favorite thing: In the time of full moon, all late afternoon, the people of Trancoso meet each other behind the church,at the "Mirante",to wait for moon rising,it's the time for meeting the locals, listen to local music and get into the local state of mind!
Another afternoon activity is at the central square-the "Capoeira" wheel.
