by janaina Everywhere, try the pineaple/cachaca drinks, tropical fruits cocktails,or build your own,buy the fresh/ultra cold pineapple from the guys at the beach, slice it and add cachaca or bacardi! For the starving,fresh/grilled seafood or Greek salad,hmmm... Leave a Comment Theme: Local

by janaina Snack bars and restaurant beachfront are everywhere, guess, you can eat here a delicious greek food! Italian and Argentinian restaurants as well, but,I stucked in a real Bahian food, spice as it could be! Food, beers and everything at the beach were tremendously expensive, again, holiday season! by mircaskirca I adore Brazilian self-service restaurants 'a kilo', where you choose the food and pay it by weight. So you can always taste so many different things... Usually they are simple places with local food where mainly local people use to come. But they can also be quite sofisticated restaurants with good selection of Japanese, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and vegetarian food beside Brazilian. A Portinha is undoubtedly the best 'a kilo' restaurant I've ever been to!! They have a great selection of salads (rocket, olives, mozzarella, 'palmito', dry tomatoes...), vegetable dishes (grilled aubergines, peppers, pumpkin...), fried bananas, tofu, pasta, gnocchi, quiches, fish and shrimps, meat dishes... But what impressed me the most was a greatest selection of cakes, pies and other delicious sweet things, also many traditional. It's worth mentioning that all the food is fresh and home-made. I usually took one plate of fish & vegetable dishes and another with dessert :) Yummy!!! The place has benches outside under the huge tree. They serve lunch and dinner. In any case come early to get the most of the choice! It's the most traditional restaurant in Quadrado. Everything is going on in the open air under an almond-tree. A table in the shadow, late afternoon... the best moment to attend a real life of Trancoso: boys playing foot-ball, young ladies parading in groups, neighbours cycling by and sunburned tourist coming back from the beach. The menu is based on traditional bahian food: fish and moqueca. It is served by nice Silvana, native from Caraiva. I can not say what was my favourite food as everything I've tried was excellent!! They are opened from 13:00 till 22:00. Theme: LocalPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averagePhone: 73 3668 1049Directions: Quadrado
