Two ferries cross Buranhem river between Porto Seguro and Arraial d'Ajuda, the passenger ferry and the car ferry. They run every 30 minutes from 7 am to midnight and hourly from midnight to 7 am.
From the ferry dock hourly buses depart to Trancoso from 7:20 am. to 8:30 pm and return hourly from 6:15 am to 10 pm. It takes one hour to get there. Three buses a day travel between Porto Seguro and Trancoso and the journey takes two hours.
Bear in mind that the time tables can always change.

Trancoso is only 26km from Porto Seguro, between Arraial D'Ajuda and Caraiva(look at the map posted previously for a better understand).
There's a motorway access by the BA-001,which was in perfect conditions-NOTE:was,not sure now.
