    Adventurous Journey to Trancoso

You can fly to Porto Seguro from Belo Horizonte, Rio, Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Porto Alegre, Florianopolis and Curitiba (Gol, BRA, TAM) or take a bus from any major Brazilian city. The bus companis are Sao Geraldo and Aguia Branca.

Two ferries cross Buranhem river between Porto Seguro and Arraial d'Ajuda, the passenger ferry and the car ferry. They run every 30 minutes from 7 am to midnight and hourly from midnight to 7 am.

From the ferry dock hourly buses depart to Trancoso from 7:20 am. to 8:30 pm and return hourly from 6:15 am to 10 pm. It takes one hour to get there. Three buses a day travel between Porto Seguro and Trancoso and the journey takes two hours.

Bear in mind that the time tables can always change.

Trancoso is only 26km from Porto Seguro, between Arraial D'Ajuda and Caraiva(look at the map posted previously for a better understand).
There's a motorway access by the BA-001,which was in perfect conditions-NOTE:was,not sure now.

We took a bus from Rio to Porto Seguro, the nearest big city(Sao Geraldo is the bus company name)
At Porto Seguro,we rent a car to start the adventure:from Porto Seguro croosing the Buranhem river by ferry, than through Arraial D'Ajuda city and than getting to Trancoso.
If you are coming from Salvador,we heard the bus company name is Aguia Branca.

Taxis in Trancoso have e fix price. They all costs R$ 15 (less than Usd 7).
I took a picture to a card some taxi driver gave me, but they are all safe (at least all I took).

Los taxis en Trancoso tienen un precio fijo. Todos cuestan R$ 15 (menos de $20).
Le saque una foto a una tarjeta que me dio un taxista, pero todos son seguros (al menos los que yo tome).
