São Tomé is a great place to adventure and exoterism.
The atmosphere is something 'hippie', you can smell aromatic fumes almost everywhere, exoteric art, Peruvian clothes and workmanship.
By the other side, there are lots of caves to explore,rivers,waterfalls...r /> The most exciting place is the Carimbado Caverne.

Visiting the historic cities close to BH is a must. Ouro Preto, Tiradentes, Mariana, Congonhas do Campo (Aleijadinho's sculptures).
Rich colonial architecture, coble stone streets, awesome local food, shopping for precious stones and crafts.

On the outskirst of town, a permanent fixture. All sorts of things, artisans, crafts, food, a place where anyone can set up a booth, more like a flea market but probably a tradition that dates back prior to the flea market as we know it.

This is the Palacio, what grand and beautiful architecture. Truly a lost art. These kinds of buildings are all that is left of the wonderfully artistic genius of our past.

This picture of a street which, as it happens, had very little traffic on it, as it was a Sunday, shows that this large city is very modern in its own right.
