RESPECTING THE NATURAL INHABITANTS
The macaws here are beautiful!!
So many kinds of animals, just a pleasure to meet!
And,as I always say:the animals are the inhabitants,we are the intruders!
Respect natural environment and nature wherever you go,they belong to all of us!
SOME IMPORTANT NOTES WHEN COMING TO BONITO
The ideal time for a trip here is 4 days at least.
If you plann less, there are many fantastic sites I'm afraid you won't have the time to see!
The trips to the hot points have a maximum nbr of participants a day, than pls book your trips in advance in any local travel agency!(specially in the high seasons!)
The trips are not free, the price runs from 10 to 100 U.S.dollars,depend.
For "Rappel" trecks(going down the cascades by a lash) and cave dives cost much more!
The local travel agents will provide you the voucher for your trip and will decide about the right guide for the kind of trip you're interested to.
Acording to the National Laws for preservation of this site,ALL trips around/within Bonito MUST have a licensed guide with the group!!
For diving yourself, exploring the caves is extrictly forbiden, only escort by a licensed diver, and so as the self-diving in the other diving points, you must have at least a basic dive course license!!(here is not the place for your first time dive!!).
The use of sun protection creams and repelents during the trecks along the cascades and rivers is extrictly forbiden if you plann to jump in the waters-it polutes and change the PH of the water!!
The weather can be a terrible cause for cancel trips-many trips requests this or that atmospheric conditions!
VERY IMPORTANT:though the waters are clean and clear,PLS don't drink it EVER,it has a very high concentration of magnesium and calcareous, what causes terrible stomach aches!!!PICTURE:CACHOEIRA DA ILHA DO PADRE(the priest isle cascade)
