You can certainly do these trips by local buses. Go to the Rodoviaria and ask for the bus companies for the schedules to take you there.
Note that some of the schedules are quite odd, like they leave very early in the morning and return rather late in the afternoon, leaving you a lot of time at the cave... which you actually don't need. Leave a Comment
