The cuisine is a family tradition nurtured with love and its secrets were passed from generation to generation.
It works with typical “Mineira” food served in an ambience that reminds of the architecture of the two-story houses and farms of colonial times. The cuisine is therefore divided in two categories also: the cuisine of the farms and the cuisine of the muleteers. They try to keep their characteristics as well as their authentic flavors.
Favorite Dish: All the foods, try the beans and don´t ( DON´T ) forget the desserts....

Though this restaurant has an English name, it is very much a Brazilian Churrascaria with a nice selection of buffet and meat carved on your plate by a number of roving waiters. Very delicious and filling!

Dona Luzinha has great atmosphere that is reminiscent of the region's colonial culture, and provides typical local food from Minas Gerais. Very traditional home-cooked style of food with a lot of feijao (beans), meats tendered with Cachaza and different stews.

Pizzarela is a great pizza restaurant.
Accept all Credit Cards ( Mastercard, Visa and American Express ).
Prefers to pay money.
Favorite Dish: Ask for the biggest size with 8 slices ( Its called "Gigante" ) and choose 2 flavors ( half to half ): Portuguesa and 4 Cheese ( 4 queijos ).

ChurasCaria is a typical meal in Brasil, there are so many kind of CC. From the basic one (along the road mostly for truck drivers) or in the city (like the one I tried) where the quality is higher.
The full meal is about 30/35 Real (around 10 € = 13 $) You can have all vegetable you want plus many kind of meat.

- And Many many kind of Really good Beaf!
There is the rule: you start to eat, then every 2/3 mins a waiter comes to the table an propose a different kind of meat ... until you can't eat anymore!
When you're over, you just put a little marker on the table 'Obrigado' (thank you) to say you're full!
That's so Great and Good! You have to try it!

A little gem of a restaurant in BH's zona sul, just off Savassi. Its run by Nasrin and her partner Claudio. Nasrin is a passionate cook and can also explain alot about Iranian cooking and culture in English. You really feel like you're stepping into their home, as the restaurant definitely has their personal touch and warmth, not to mention the quality of excellent home cooking. Chat to Claudio if you are interested in art and painting, he is a painter. The food is excellent, enjoy!
Favorite Dish: This restaurant has very few dishes on its menu but they are good! Try the meat dishes, rather than the chicken, and dont forget the refreshing sweet Iranian drink with cucumber, trust me, its wonderful!
Open wednesday to saturday 13-17hr and 19:30-23hrs.
