Quatro Ilhas is one of the beaches in Bombinhas. Don't worry if you're on foot. It takes a 10-minute walk to go from Bombinhas beach to Quatro Ilhas beach.
What's cool about this beach is that the sand is very nice and the sea is quite transparent and warm. There are waves, that's why the east part of the beach belongs to the surfers, but that does not prevent you from swimming and floating head up for some minutes.
What I most enjoyed about this beach was that you can go there at 12 o' clock and have lunch at "Siri do Milenio" (with live music) or "Hibisco", which overlook the sea. Just 3 meters away from the sand. You cannot miss the "Camaraos a la milanesa", "Lulas" , "Empadas de siri" and of course the caipirinhas which are served at your umbrella by request. After having lunch (a bit tipsy due to the caipirinhas) you can go down to the beach and stay there until 6 or 7 pm.
Oh! the "morros" (sort of hills with lots of trees) provide the landscape the perfect touch.
Be careful! The sun is really strong here! So try not to sunbathe before 2pm and use 20 SPF at least! I'm not a paranoic, believe me!

It is a protected park formed by some isles located around 11km from the shore.
These islands are among the best scuba diving points in southern Brazil: Arvoredo Is., the larger one, 50' away from the coast (motorboat); Galé Is., 30' away, Desert Is., 1h20' away, and other small isles and rocks.
During scuba diving usually one can experience warm water with plenty of underwater life, turtles, lobsters, and many fish species, etc...
Simply great!

Bombinhas is just one of the beaches in this beautiful peninsula. And they are really gorgeous down there!
So if you have a bike or a car get out and explore the peninsula by yourself, and you will not regret...
