Favorite thing: not many places in Brasil or even in the whole of South America can show of with such rich natural beauty. many of the beaches along its coast count to the most beautiful and savest in the country.
Florianopolis a wee gem under the Cities of Brasil, not that big, where one needs ages to getting around, Public Transport very good. quality of life is high, always was and the location, like Porto Alegre or Rio, just a superb waterfront.
and the hilly, fertil countryside, farmland, many farmers offer farmstay....well worth a trip. the Foz is accessible from Santa Catarina as well.
People are a balanced mix from european stock, I just mean it a little flippend but stick with it.....Italians, Germans, the polish and in the horticulture business, the Japanese!
all go on well, but each always maintained their own culture.
Germans Beer, Italians wine and great italian food.
but they had all one thing in common, to settle in the rich and fertil valleys of the mainland where water was no issue and the climate moderate, even european like. cold spells are not unknown. many crops and fruittrees like that,specialy the stone fruit and apple and pears
as I heard they even grow Kiwi fruit here

Fondest memory: always the people are my fondest memory. friendly and hospitable, Concordia in the east of the State, my Friend lives still here, I am concidering very seriously visiting again.
