It's very charming whenever you come here
Too expensive and crowded during festivals.
It´s our winter refuge!!!!!!!!!!
The train trip lasts 2h30min. "Morro do Elefante" (Mount of the Elephant) is probably the highest point of the city. The view is very beautiful and makes the mount worth a visit. Except this, sincerely, there´s nothing up there (only a small elephant statue, but this will only suit kids who love to take a picture next to the elephant). The access can be by car (about 5 or 10...more
It is possible to bath on the waterfalls at Horto Florestal. There´s probably a specific translation for the word "horto", but unfortunatelly I don´t know it. Basically it´s a huge park with tracks in the bushes and beautiful (although small) waterfalls. There are also restaurants and gift shops in the "park".It was a 40 minutes walk to get to the waterfall on the picture, which is the shortest track of the...more

I thought by its name, the restaurant would be decorated with Brazilian flags and stuff but there was nothing typical inside. The decoration is pretty plain. In Capivari area, you will find most of the trendiest bars & restaurants of Campos do Jordão. It is also a good place for people-watching.
Oh! Don't forget to try eating Fondue (as in Fondue Savoyarde) or Chocolate Fondue (if you are not found of cheese).
Dress Code: A very warm coat because in Campos do Jordão, the weather can go below zero, especially at night.
Although Campos do Jordão is a small city (36.000 inhabitants), the main attractions are very spread all around the town and some of them are outside it.It won´t be a problem if you are driving a car but if you´re not...The best option is to find touristic tours that will take you to the places you wanna visit. I don´t recommend local buses. You...more
Taking pictures from the mirador was once free, but now you are "invited" to pay R$ 2 at the restaurant's entrance and then they will let you go to the mirador.
Fun Alternatives: Take the cable car instead, if you aren't acrophobe.
How cold does Campos do Jord?o get in winter? It gets very cold for brazilian standards, specially if you consider that Campos is not on the south of Brazil, where most of the coldest cities of the country are. The temperatures in winter will vary from 0?C to 15?, so you?d better bring a coat with you.
Even in summer, the city doesn?t usually gets hot. The temperatures shall vary from 15?C to 25?C.
