Started the year in such a fantastic way - dressed all in white and with new bikinis, lighting candles on the beach and jumping 7 waves and making a wish for every wave...we had a great time...BTW, the colour code for new years tanga in Brazil is white for peace and love and yellow for money, red and balck are definetely to be avoided. guess what I chose:)
The mountains complement the magic beauty of this unspoilt and untouristy place.
We had a day trip in the rainforest and we had so much fun - had a dip in the icy waterfalls, got lost in the forest, smell and eat various funny fruit (that was the contribution of our friend who studies biology:), almost got eaten by dogs, got lost from few friends of ours, walked on shaky bridges...very very adventurous.
Small and cosy, with fine and whitesh sand, the beach in Pauba is surrounded by beuatiful green hiils. The place also shelters a villa of fishermen, one of the few São Paulo's coast points, where it's possible to see the practice the daily's handmade fishing.
But the greatest thing in Pauba was that u could call for a caipirinha, a beer, a fried cheese or an icecream anytime ud fancy and the guys would be with u in a minute. The ultimate luxury:)
Beautifully Located by the beach but when you come in nobody says welcome and everything looks a mess, waiters running all over, we found a table on our own after sitting at 2 other tables before, non was cleaned and had to wave down a waiter to get some attention.
Big Menu !! from Pastas, Pizzas, Meats, Fish to Sushi?
Favorite Dish: Portions was pretty big observing other tables, so we ordered 2 dishes, a Pasta with File Mignon
and a File Mignon in some sort of sauce.
Food came, both plates looks the same except for the Pasta and the Rice but same sauce and same taste!!???
Prices was OK but still not Worth It!!For the bad service and food presentation, not talk about the lack of Ambition !
Love this place, very nicely decorated, felt welcome on arrival, pleasant personnel. Then the menu, not a very big menu but sufficient, with my experience large menus are usually really bad cause a kitchen can't handle or stock a large variety of foodstuff fresh!
To our surprise the prices was really good, almost 40% cheaper than the others around. Great Service, efficient even when we were there the place was pack. The food, we ordered 2 dishes for me my wife and our daughter, it took only 20 mins!! We had a dish call Camarao Alho& Oleo(King Prawns Spiced with garlic& Olive Oil) with Rice Al Grego and our daughter File Mignon with french fries(home made) They were fantastic and Delicious. The Prawns were Gambas and were very, very tasty. You'll probably be disappointed if you eat somewhere else after you've been here!No Kidding!!
We Highly Recommend This Restaurant!!!
Our Brazilian friends cooked for us delicios meals with fresh calamari, beef, chicken, lots of rice and beans, salad..delicious..and after our meals i used to just relax in a hammock while looking at the stars or chattin with our housemates..
Lots of beer, dancing, axe, break dance, samba, forro, capirinha and the unforgetable mellasu:) Mellasu was our happiness magic ingredient and its recipe couldnt be simpler and less lethal: cachaca and honey:)
Plenty of funky and cool beach clothes and surely a Brazilian bikini paradise!
What to buy: Brazilian tiny tin swimming suits are a must on any Brazilian beach..forget about your own, no matter how funky ull still look like a gringo.
