I don't think there's a theme for this restaurant since during the week, it's a self-service buffet (pay per kilo). On weekends and holidays, it's a all-you-can-eat self-service buffet and at night, only pizzas and pasta.

This place belongs to "churrascaria" group Bovinus and is located in Aquarius neighborhood, this restaurant is very popular because of its quality and prices. Cheaper and better than a "churrascaria", this is a great place to have lunch for all-ages. They even have a playground for kids outside.

NOTICE: I've only been during a holiday and weekends, so can't comment about the other systems.

When you arrive at the restaurant, if you come by car, they have a valet-parking service. Once inside, someone will show your table. Then a waiter will get your drinks order (not included in the buffet price). Feel free to get a plate and start your tour around the cold/hot buffet, grill counter area. It's good to know some Portuguese, so you'll know what you're eating, especially when getting meat (the grill guys will ask you what you want, i.e., type of meat - or you can always point your finger to what you want because it never fails.). There is also a dessert buffet.

You will find all kinds of food (nothing too exotic though, so no Indian or Thai, for instance). On the cold buffet, you'll always find Japanese food (sushi, sashimi), salads, pasta, etc. Now, on the hot buffet, you'll always find rice and beans, then the other dishes change daily. The grill area, you'll find grilled chicken hearts, "picanha", other red meats, grilled chicken, lamb, etc...

The only downside is the dessert buffet, there are some fruit, cakes, and some other creamy stuff, but they were too sweet for my taste.

I eat at this restaurant at least once a week for lunch. Put your food on the dish and pay for the weight (1 Kg=4.44 USD Mon-Tue, 1 Kg=5.12 USD Sat-Sun). Soup and dessert are free. Clean restaurant, tasteful food, nice attendance. Dinner (Thu-Sun) not by Kg (I never tried).

Favorite Dish: You have more than 20 hot (meat, chicken, fish) types of dishes as well as more than 20 types of salad. The advantage is that you have many options to choose and the cuisine is also BRAZILIAN.

From GRU (São Paulo Guarulhos International Airport):

    Bus company: Pássaro Marron

    Bus departs from:

Terminal de Passageiros 1 - asa A - piso de desembarque (Terminal of Passengers 1 - wing A - Arrival Floor)

    &

Terminal de Passageiros 2 - asa D - piso de desembarque (Terminal of Passengers 2 - wing D - Arrival Floor)

Check website (see below) for Bus schedule . In "Origem", choose "Guarulhos - Aeroporto" (or São José dos Campos) from the drop-down menu and in "Destino" (destination), choose "São José dos Campos" (or Guarulhos - Aeroporto, if it's the case). Then choose date and month, and click "Consultar" (Search).

If you can understand Portuguese and probably have a CPF, you can buy your tickets online, but first you'll have to sign up for this service.

You will find 2 types of public transportation here, buses and vans (same price) for the price of R$ 2,80 (as of 2011) one-single way. You can take both at bus stops. The only problem is finding out if you're at the right bus stop because there are no names or bus timetables, so the only way is asking around. If you don't speak Portuguese, it might be a good idea to carry a phrase-book with you.

Buses: No matter what you decide, they drive fast and don't really care about the passengers, so grab the pole/seat firmly as soon as you get on bus, because he'll speed up asap and when he hit the brakes as well.

When memorizing a bus line, always memorize the destination and especially the bus number. Sometimes the destination is the same, but the bus number will be different, meaning that it won't necessarily follow the same itinerary. You get on the bus through the front door, then pay your ticket to the guy (called "cobrador") at the turnstile. When approaching your stop, press the stop button (if you do not see a stop button, but see a cord, pull that thing) and get off through the back door.

Vans are faster, but space is limited. First come, first served basis, so if it's almost full, you will have to sit where there's a free spot. Pay your ticket, when the "cobrador" (money collector) ask you to. When approaching your stop, tell the driver "próximo" ("next" for "next stop").

Depending on your destination, buses have more regular services than vans.

For buses timetables, check the website below (in Portuguese):
