The Almanara is a restaurant with all kinds of typical Middle Eastern food. It is a tradition in Sao Paulo since 1950. Lebanese immigrants arrived in Sao Paulo at the end of the XIX century, bringing in their luggage’s authentic centenaries family recipes.
In its 55 years of existence the Almanara observed with pride the transformation of Sao Paulo. As it was called by news paper “the gentle Arabic that the city adopted”. The food is delicious and the ambiance is comfortable and inviting. The service is perfect with attention to details. This is a “must” when visiting Sao Paulo, specially if you like middle eastern food like: Kibe, Babaganushe, Sfiha, Beirute etc… They have a few different locations including in all shopping centers. Not only you can visit and purchase beautiful clothing and shoes made in Brazil but also stop for a delicious Middle Eastern meal. That’s what I do every time I visit Sao Paulo!

Favorite Dish:
My favorite dish among others is Kibe served with lime cuts. Also Babaganushe, a paste made of roasted eggplant served with Arabic bread and Tabule, which is a salad made with whole wheat, tomatoes, parsley and cucumber. They also have all kinds of beverages and natural juices. Take a look at this link, there is much more in their menu!
