Café Girondino is perhaps the only decent dining option in the São Bento area. It is located on Largo São Bento, across from the Basilica, and is a great place to stop for coffee and a snack, or for lunch. The café has old world charm and the service is efficient. While the food looked good, I only stopped here for coffee and some pastry.
Its a Nice Place with Antique Decoration and Pictures from Sao Paulo.
Service is Excelent, you can share a Creamy Soup if you´re not so hungry in the Winter.
Cafe Girondino can be a Breakfast Starting to a Walkaway in the Downtown or an After Hour Break for a Beer.
Favorite Dish: Drink a Coffee or a Hot Chocolate. Taste the Sandwiches or Dishes and don´t miss the Sweet Pies. My Favorites are Banana or Apple, both with Cinamon.
During the Night its more like a Bar Atmosphre: Try the Beer Draft, Drinks and Appetizers as Pastel (Pastry Pies), Bolinho de Mandioca (Manioc Pies) or the Crunchy Parmezan Bruschetta!
