La Caballeriza: La Caballeriza - Great Argentine Steak Place
This restaurant was located right next door to my hotel and was where I ate my first night in Sao Paulo. The restaurant is located inside an old home and been redecorated in a rustic style. There are tables and booths and the large space is separated well to give a feeling of intimacy. The tables were well attended. The restaurant is actually an Argentine restaurant with another one in Buenos Aires although they do have some typical Brazilian side dishes like the boiled pumpkin. The menus are in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Favorite Dish: I at the Ojo de Bife cut of meat with the side of pumpkin. We ordered an Argentine Malbec wine to accompany the meal.

La Caballeriza: Another great place for meat
La Calabelleriza is originally Argentine (with a location in Bs As) and serves great steaks and has an extensive wine list. It is centrally located close to Avenida Paulista, and definitely a place for lunch.
This is not a rodizio-style of churrascaria! They have typical Brazilian cuts like picanha, but the main focus is on Argentine/Uruguayan meat such as entrana and ojo de bife for example
Favorite Dish: Entrana with sweet potatos puree
