There is a microbrewery near Novotel hotel. I forgot it's name, but its definitely worth a visit. They make 2 kinds of beers. The waiters are quite hi-tech .. none of that paper and pen stuff. They take your order on wireless PDAs. One section of the bar is open-air, so you can enjoy the humidity :) and the other section is air-conditioned.
One of the weekday nights (Tuesday or Thursday) is Forro night ... they play live forro music, with stage dancers in the air-conditioned section of the brewery.

You have missed Manaus night life you haven’t been to a forro place. Huge field, one stage with musicians and dancers, and hundreds dancing on the ground. The girl to guy ratio in Manaus is a ridiculous 2:1 or something like that. So guys are in great demand there. Forro started off as ‘for all’, when the rail road companies threw huge parties for their workers to keep them happy. Over the years, it has become forro. … or so the story goes.
While you are there, try the Capeta and the Caipirinha. The first is a cocktail of guarana, Johnny walker and cachaca. Caipirinha is cachaca with lime. If not anything, get some beer. Chopp is a type of beer and Chopp de Brahma is the most popular one.

A little orange buiding surronde by orange patio furniture. Lots of beer and decent snacks, overlooking the amphitheater. Nightly live music and Boi Bumba dancers. Don't miss the people watching. Be ready to stay out late.

well, this Rockclub is just holy cool...for all friends of live-rock music and nice partys is the "porão do alemão" the best adress to go. i worked a few months in manaus and this club became more and more to my second home :o)
they have mostly local rockbands who playing solid rockmusic. its open from wednesday to saturday..in the weekends its mostly open until the sunrise ;o)
you can go how ever you like, there is no dress code at all...the only thing who should be considered, is that the security staff check your pockets and bags before they let you in. just to avoid that people bring some own drinks and weapons and how ever.. Theme: NightclubAddress: rua da ponta negraDirections: well, i dont know the exatly adress. its not so far away from the "sambodromo". the big concert arena beside the futbol stadion. but everybody knows this club, specially the taxidrivers.

One of the most awesome things to do at night in Brasil is go out with friends b/c I promise you that whatever you do you will have a great time!
