This restaurant is FANTASTIC!
Probably the best fish I had the entire 2 months in the Amazon. They must cook it well or something, but the portions are pretty big, and the fish is great. No Pirahna bs. You get the bigger, tastier, expensive fish, but is well worth it. for a full stomach for dinner, expect to pay up to 10 US dollars. Take a taxi to go there, and tell the driver the name of the place. he will know it for sure.
Favorite Dish: I had this fish.....i forgot what it was called, but it was this gigantic fish they have (not pirarucu) that looks like a bulldog. I thought it was wayyyy better than any other fish i had. The fish is the size of a pig, and they bring it out like pork ribs on a skew. Pirarucu was good too, but the other one was definately better.

Open air again, with a huge selection of fish - fried, baked, steamed, grilled, stewed, and otherwise. All the dishes are large and intended for several people. Side dishes come with each.
Favorite Dish: I don't know what I ate, a local ordered for me. We had 5 different dishes on the table and they were all great.

This restaurant is located within walking distance from the Hotel Tropical Manaus (five minutes, just walk through the gates of the hotel and look in the right for a thached roof, thats it). The food is the best part of this restaurant, excellent grilled beef and fish. Its an open air restaurant covered with a huge thached palm roof, so it cant be missed. The food is much better then the restaurant in the Tropical and makes a great night.
Favorite Dish: Get this:
for a fish get: Tumbaqui - grilled, very good, and the serving can easily feed two.
for beef get: Carne do Sol - from calf, very good; however is constantly out so just get steak if it is. Good with Batatas Fritas or just Batatas. Once again, one order can most likely feed two.
