Take a coach from Fortaleza bus station. The journey consists of two parts: the first takes 5 hours on a modern air-conditioned bus, then you stop in a small town and wait around 15 minutes until the track shown in the picture arrives. This last journey will take 1 hour, but it's fun and the views are very nice: some small villages in the middle of nowhere and a deserted, extense beach.
The whole journey costs 35 reais (one way). Redenção is the bus line between Jeri and Fortaleza.

When we went to Jeri, we rent a van in Fortaleza beach, with Araruna, an old experient man, who made a better price for us..we went on friday, take 4 hour in a car and then went to a little and good hotel there, in the middle of the town, near everthing..very good and cheap. Araruna lead us into the town and showed us the beach and the lakes( Paraíso) surrounded..it was a nice trip, with a nice person that brought us a lot of passion and information about this amazing place..remember, you can contact them in the fortaleza beach, near the street, asking for Araruna and paraiso do Sol road trip to Jericoacoara

The truck you have to take from a small town where the bus from Fortaleza stops, to Jericoacoara, is quite an adventure, as it will ride on the sand dunes and on the beach... But it's not done for it !! It's gonna shake !!!

we came from fortaleza by car, first a five hour drive to jijoca and that's the last small village before jerricoacoara...
Don't even try to get with your car a little bit further, it's not possible!!
in this small village there is a big 4-4 truck and the driver will bring you to jerri in almost an hour!
You can ask anyone there to bring you but you have to pay a lot more....
The truck goes only a few times a day, we were lucky...

We took the bus from Fortaleza to Jeri,it took almost 7 hours!!
The name of the company we took the bus was "REDENCAO".
From Jericoacoara to Jeri, you'll need a kind of 4X4,because the dunes are around all the way!!
