The long beaches allow you to make beautiful walks, taking even whole days, meeting only fisherman with Jangadas, some buggy or off-road car that takes tourists along the 'beach higway' stopping in different villages along the coast ... walking on the beach we arrive from Paracurù to kite surfing center of Cumbuco and if you are to tired to came back walking there is always someone on the beach ready to give you a ride with the buggy!

not many big fancy places to eat, you can try 'pizza' that is a bit local way of tin looking and overprised. Chicken is not bad, buy from local restaurant or kebabs (god knows what meat they use!) marinated in slat only.. smells good but tastes not that much. My favorite was local potatoes :) Or visit local market for veges... though recommended food - well cooked!

There is only one bank in Paracuru, and the ATM machine here only works from time to time. If the ATM machine does not work you can get cash from the counter, but be aware, the waiting line is huge!! Sometimes you can stand here for hours on end. Also Brazilians tend to cut in line, especially seniors, but I guess this is custom for Brazilians, seniors first... to your imense frustration of course!

The best time to go is early morning, just on opening, or in the late afternoon, just before closing. Can't remember the opening hours, but just avoid going to the bank around noon, you'll regret doing so!

Paracurù is certainly the perfect place for water sports on the north-east of Brazil.
The main spots for kitesurfing are:
“Quebamar” on the south end of the town and the northern spot near the river named:
“Curù”;there, a flat water and gentle wind conditions invite kitesurf beginners.

Paracurù coasts are wet with a crystal-clear sea, really clear.
On the south of Paracur Quebramar, miles and miles of uncontaminated seashores assure a completely free surfing, even in high season.

Thanks to low tides, the beaches become endless motorways; moving by ‘buggy’, you can looking for yor best ‘personal spot’!

Equipment: You can rent the equipement from Quebramar kite center or in the Parcurù kite villages
