Baia dos Golfinhos
Baia dos Golfinhos is a wonderful long white sand beach and it's a dolphin sanctuary. It's situated in Ponta do Madeiro beach, about a 10 minute drive from the center of Pipa.
You can see the dolphins in the sea appear in this place to feed themselves and to play, being also possible swimming with them every day more frequently in the morning.
There are two large resorts situated in this beach which give facilities in the beach.
It's a nice beach but beware because it's too hot here, even in winter and you can hardly stay in the sun as there is no breeze.
Do a buggy tour
You shouldn't stick to your resort or Pousada while in Pipa. Hire a buggy with a driver and take a tour to the south, to Sangi, next to the Paraiba state border. You will go through the different beaches, have a bath at the Cocacola Lagoon, see the villages and the coast. Finish it with a nice seafood lunch in a local seaside restaurant.
Your Pousada or hotel can arrange that for you. It's a bit expensive ( about 90 euros for the whole day) but well worth it.

Praia do Amor (Love Beach)
Praia do Amor has this name due its heart shape and for the fact that in this beach the foreigners used to deal with the nature practicing nudism. Praia do Amor is also loved by the surfers, because of its very high waves.
The Praia do Amor is only accessible by car, as it's a bit far from Pipa's center.
THE PLACE GETS DEEP IN YOUR HEART
Pipa is not a wild isolated village,as others I showed here!
It has already its tourism infra-structure and lots of tourists, such a paradise could not be isolated forever!
But here, not as in Buzius or Ilha Grande, the fact the place lost a bit of its native lifestyle, didn't bother me too much!
I think it's because, the natural beauty keeps so alive, that your eyes will focuse only at it!
It's the most liked beach in the region, the extended strips of sand beaches, are often colored and isolated by high hillsides.
It's a great feeling to enter the beaches here,it's like to escape and forget all problems in the world (mostly, what all of us are looking for when we choosing a place for a trip!).
Groups of turtles and dolphins will appear ocasionally, ask the locals the best point for observation.
" PRAIA DO AMOR " ("LOVER'S BEACH),is just as beautiful as Pipa, but the access to there from Pipa's beach can be hard when the tide water is high.
Note that the tide water changes the landscape, when it's down or high!
PICTURE:PRAIA DO AMOR.
" CHAPADAO " HILL
During the sunsets and sunrises, people meet in "Chapadao ",a high hill next to Pipa, from there,it's a spectular view!
One interesting fact,is that many guys who came here from other countries for vacations,just..DIDN'T GO BACK!
Most of them are today running Inns here, restaurants ( as Jack's Bar ) or working in whatever will bring some money, but, anyway, there are a lot of this "permanent " tourists here!!
I also heard from the locals that in the 70'S,a big group of hippies were living here,in peace and harmony with the natives!
Hit the Surrounding Beaches
As might be expected from a beach resort, time is best spent around Pipa tanning, swimming, surfing, or just enjoying the special views. While the beach fronting the town is OK, the surrounding beaches are far better.
Adventure Park / Rope Course. Challenging but fun!
Aerial Adventure Parks are a series of courses linking tree platform to tree platform with bridges and zip lines. You travel through the forest on an aerial trek anywhere from 15 to 50 feet in the air! The park in Pipa is inside of a beautiful atlantic forest reserve and is the largest and most varied one in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, according to the company that provided the service. There's a rope course for kids as well.
It is a great adventure! The sights are beautiful and there's a great zip-line at the end. It is a little scary but you never feel in danger. If you do not like exercising one bit, maybe you will not enjoy it, as it can be quite challenging. But if you want to try something different and enjoy nature, you'll have a very nice time.
It was not very expansive: it cost about 70 reais per person, including a kayak tour for the afternoon. They have many different packages.
