As I told before in the intro of this page,to hike in Itaimbezinho is an experience like almost touching the sky,but many times,it ended in a tragedy (there are many stories of people who disapeared in the canyon,presumed died but as all the canyon is very deep,no chance to find the body).
In the entrance gate,follow the instructions to get to the tourist information.
Guys speak english there as well,leaflets in english are available(as in german,italian and spanish too).
TRACKS I DID:you can walk around the canyon border,and to apreciate the beauty of the waterfalls and cascades,and get really close to the cliffs.
The most popular track is the " Vertice
track ",easy to hike because signs are everywhere.It takes 45 min.,and the end is the amazing " Veu De Noiva " waterfalls (720 m. ).
Equipment: Good shoes,special for long and hard hike,a coat because even in the summer,remember you're about 945m sealevel.
