If you want a place where you can eat lots of food for a good price, Toca do Guaiamun is the place locals usually go to eat....it´s simple, away from the beach, but when you are hungry and willing to fill your stomach it´s a good restaurant.
They usually have a diverse menu, but the dish the majority of people ask is for the prepared dish, what we call "prato feito"....it´s a big plate with rice, black beans and salad, and you can choose either chicken, fish or meat....the food is good, for a good price...
They also have a camping site on the back...

When we get there, there's nobody inside the restaurant! it's really quiet and the menu is fresh seafood.........delicious...... and not expensive at all.
Also you can eat "Feijoada com farofa" tipical dish from Brasil.......
Credit cards are accepted.

Canoas is a beautiful little restaurant at the end of the strip of simialr locations parallel to the beach at Abraao. It is a little yellow building with stars (estrelas) lit and hanging in the doorway and a bar made of an old wooden canoe- hence the name Canoa (canoe in portugese).
Favorite Dish: I did not have it but according to the nice couple that we met from South Africa at dinner, the traditional dish of fish with banana was terrific.

Recreio da Praia was one of the best dining experiences that I had in Brazil. The view of the sunset on the water was fantastic and the food was amazing. I am not a seafood lover, but I hear that it was the best on the island. The service at this restaurant was great, we asked for some bread before we realized that they do not serve it and before we knew it, someone was running out to the store to buy it for us!

This is one of the restaurants I mentioned in Abraao beach,simple,in front of the beach,and crabs,fish,shrimps..ice cream (forgot to tell my favourite Ilha Grande ice cream taste is Passiflora fruit,think abroad it's better known as Passion fruit,wow,so refreshing!!)

Ilha Grande has many options of menus,of course,the main is seafood,but I have to give a special recomendation about its ice cream,what I think is the best in the state!!
The bread here is also delicious,don't know why it always taste fresher than in Rio!
During the summer,be patient because the service can be very slow,the waitress becomes a real treasure,every new order is a new impossible mission,try to make up your mind at the first time he comes!!

Crab soup,and the tipical natives meal,FISH AND BANANAS!
Yep,fish with fried bananas,it's delicious!!
For those with the same taste in food as mine,the restaurants in ABRAAO beach are great!

Canoas is a little restaurant, It's yellow building lit with stars hanging in the doorway.
The bar is made of an old wooden canoa.
Favorite Dish: I did have a traditional fish with banana. It was very fine

Brilliant little sushi bar in Abraao Centre. Friendly staff and amazing sushi. Miso soup and prices are reasonable.
Favorite Dish: Miso soup. I ordered a second.
