In terms of fast food, Brazilians seem to have the ultimate affection with cheese. Every place we seemed to turn, there was a small padaria serving the national obsession, Pão de Quejio (cheese bread). These little balls of cheesy baked goodness were wonderful, and I found myself gaining weight just by looking at them (or maybe the empty wrapper after consuming 8 at a time). There were several popular chains, but around the Rio area, we found this one to be typically convienent. Uno&Due (1&2) is a quick stop pre-made Padaria with plenty else on offer. Full sandwiches looked good, but its hard to move away from the Pão de Quejio!
Rondinella's: Fantastic Brazilian Food with a Great View
by ukmagicman
We were a little unsure about trying a restaurant right next to the beach front but decided to give this one a go and are super glad we did. The waiter was incredibly friendly, the food amazing, and the price fantastic. The restaurant is located on the sidewalk of Avenida Atlantico in Copacabana and is a nice place to sit back and look over the ocean and beach. The service was excellent here. The waiter was very attentive serving the food and bringing what we needed and was very friendly too. We ordered a traditional Brazilian platter which was for one but enough for an army. There was so much meet and side plates, it was incredible. And with the food, tip, tax, and alcoholic drinks it was only 70 reis. On Friday and Saturday nights they have live samba music at the restaurant.
The traditional Brazilian platter, not sure the name.Caparinha's were also very good.
