Bombar is a small bar in Leblon. It's popular among younger crowd and perfect for a first place to visit and drink before hopping into nightclubs. The entire second floor is a dance floor with dj blasting house and techno style music. I believe the entrance fee is R20 for guys and R10 for gals. All staff members were extremely kind and professional. We all had great time there. I'd definitely recommend this place.

We ended up sampling Bombar (Barra) on the Monday night after Christmas 2004 and once again were not surprised by the sheer number of people deciding to head "out on the town". Without exagerating, there had to be 150 people waiting in line to get into a club that was already jam packed.
The only way we ended up getting in was because the manager, (who was a friend of a friend), led us around the back, down an alleyway and in through the kitchen.
The club is set up on 3 floors. The first floor is dance floor and a sea of bodies. The second floor looks out over the dance floor and is equally oceanic, but with fewer homo sapiens to bang into. The third floor is up a spiral stairway and is actually a bit of an escape from the rest of the place.
All in all a good place, with good music. Slightly younger crowd.
