This is the qunitessential Copacabana nightspot for dancing, drinking, people watching and picking up girls. Many of the girls here are "working", but you won't find every one. If you are looking for a "non-working" girl, however, this is like looking for a four-leaf clover. The music is some of the best club music that you will experience in Rio and definitely the best DJ's in Copacabana. This is definitely a tourist spot - some of the highest cover charges and drink prices in Rio. On Friday and Saturday night, Help doesn't get going until almost midnight, but then it is usually packed with people. Guy to girl ratios hover in 1:1 to 1:2. Odds are high that you won't go home unaccompanied, but make sure that you have all the details worked out in advance of leaving with someone. You don't take a woman to this place - she will be hasseled beyond believe and hit on about a hundred times. Definitely a meat market.

This place is mmad. WE didnt go in, but sat ouside watching the punters go by and the girls of the nite pick up their men.. I went into the loos in this place and it was full of prostitutes, i was the only girl not selling myself in there. however, they were very civil to me, and would chat away. i guess they didnt find me a threat.

I heard about club HELP before arriving in Rio from a buddy so I figured I'd check it out. I was staying @ the Rio International Hotel, so the location was great.(hotel is also just a few blocks from MARIELS:great resturaunt) HELP didn't dissapoint. There is plenty of cheap booze, good dance music and pretty women to go around. I'll put it this way, " if you can't have a good time here then you need HELP." A must see!!
Help Discoteca is great, but the area around Help can be dangerous, especially at night. Thats why its always good to have a tour giude when you are in Rio, especially for your first time. I am an English speaking guide in Rio and know all the hot spots, there are many more beside Help! (termas, boites etc.) Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are coming or planing to come to Rio. I give tours at R$50, per person, per night (R$50 = approx. US$17)

Unless your looking for working girls stay away from this place......it's location couldn't be better...on Atlantic Ave in Copacabana but that's the only good thing about this place....The price are made for the tourist and the girls there are relentless !!!!! STAY AWAY !!!!! would not recommend it !!!!!
went there with a couple other guy friends on a saturday night back in april, 2003...i'd esimate that about 65% of the patrons were females who were all "for sale" for $100 (american)...most were under the age of 25 and on a scale of 1-10 i'd say the average girl was around a 7.0...fun place if you're looking to get laid and/or party your ass off

Me and some friends went to Help as a last resort one night, I managed to convince them, and we ended up having a brilliant time. It was me another girl and one guy, and a whole lot of prostitutes.
Ok, me and the other girl got a whole lot of dirty looks in the toilets from the other girls and when we were the only ones dancing on the dance floor, and a women tried to rip me off at the drinks pre pay kiosk, but apart from that, I had the best night in ages, and I know they had fun as well.
The club is big and the music is fast and loud, and the toilets have big mirrors. What more do you want?
Girls, youl will find it hard to get a man in here, and guys you will be in heaven!
The drink prices are reasonable and the barmen are friendly, so go and have fun!
Dress Code: Anything goes!
Rio de Janeiro is of course famous by the yearly Carnival parades mostly located around the area called "Sambodromo" .
Thousands of participants - members of "Samba "schools are participating and dancing on the rythm of Samba music.
Nightlife in Rio - you will find it on the "Avenida Atlantica" But there are for sure better places - not that touristic
Dress Code: Leisure - but be carefull
Mega-Disco "Help" is a favourite place for tourists.Hot sweeping music and many beautiful women - they will promise you an unforgetable night on the beaches of Copa
and than...surprise surprise !!
I read about some of the night life in Rio but didn't explore it all that much due to concerns about safety issues on hanging out late at night.
I did stop by the HELP disco in Copacabana one night and found it to be crowded with a lot of smoke & seemd like a professional pick up joint rather than a disco. I didn't spend more that 20 minutes.

Discoteca Help, Copacabana. Its a crazy place.. Always full of people and nice music. If you like to watch.... The place is crowded with prostitutes, but they wont bother you. They are all 'indipendent' women, so just have fun and dance! The place is world famous (for good and for bad...).

You may think you are a James Dean-esque love machine when the hundreds of women punters flock round you, asking you to dance, out for dinner, drinks. Unfortunately, they are all prostitutes. Very pretty prostitutes none the less though.
