    Chaika: Diner like experience

by uvaspy Updated Jan 27, 2005

Chaika is also a chain in Ipanema. I went to the one that is off of Rua Visconde Piraja road. I had the beirute sandwich that had meat, fried bananas and cheese. My friend had the Manza which was cheese, ham, lettuce, and other italian like meats. The host spoke english and sat us very quickly. The waiters did not speak english as much, but eating is a universal language, eh?

    two sandwiches with fries
    1 coke
    1 ice tea
tip (tip is not included --odd)
    Total $31 Reals = $11.63 US dollars

Favorite Dish: The beirute sandwich was unique, but I don't want bananas all up in that cheese.

NOTE: Photo is not the one I went to, I saw another one in the Rio Sul mall and took a pic.

Located in the heart of Ipanema ,is much more than a simple restaurant/snack.if you want fast and local food like a sandwich that is the place. It can be very busy ( sunday night ).Variety dishes for lunch, dinner, sandwich, salad, soup, coffee, ,breakfast, waffle, desserts, ice creams ( very good ) wow !! is simple fantastic, good and funny ambience, not expensive prices, worth the visit !!!

Favorite Dish: i like to experience the tip of day dishes , i dont have one favorite dish there ...
try the sandwich called Beirute Ipanema made with a very thin steak, melted cheese and fried banana in a pita bread or one of famous mega-sundaes :-)))
