This house was built by the coffee Baron Joaquim José Teixeira Leite, who was one of the most important figures in Vassouras's history. His aristocratic daughter Eufrásia Teixeira Leite lived there and was the most important figure in the elite social life of Vassouras's aristocracy. She entertained lots of important guests when she wasnt busy in her palaces in London, Brussels, and Paris.
