it´s a famous place located at island extremity with good sea view and nice food.

I sugest order caldeirada, a traditional food with a lot of sea food with traditional rice and pirão..very tasty....two people eats well..

Other suggestion is the fish filet ( i think barracuda), that brings you a unique flavor, with rice and potato
Ask for Flavio that you´ll be well served..!

This is a place that you canpay a very nice price and eat very well, beecause, Flamboyant brings you a system of kilo food..
It´s a large buffet, wiht salads,meat,pasta .you choose and make your own choices and at final you measure it and the price is according with the weight...practical an good

The little hippy pizza place that is a neighbor to the church in the picture (out of the frame, just to the left of the church - sorry, we didn't take a photo of the restaurant) was fantastic. To me, this place embodied the tropical, laid back, rustic nature of FdN. Small open-air tables are scattered around a centrally located bar, and servers come around every so often to bring your food or new rounds of drinks. On the night we visited, beers and thin-crust style pizza were on the menu - and everything we had was delicious. There were as many people eating here as drinking, and the music was keeping everything lively. People's dress ranged from casual clothes to club clothes, and I did notice that this was one of the few places we dined where beach clothing would have been out of place.

Favorite Dish: Acting on the advice from the woman at our pousada, we stuck to the pizza and beer. The beer was the same Skol that is served just about everywhere on the island, but the pizza and the toppings were fresh and delicious. After a long day of baking on the beach, we were hungry and this place delivered. Prices are reasonable - similar to most places on the island.

Acai e raizes: u can order 300ml, 500ml, 750ml and even 1liter of this energetic fruit mix. They also offer sandwiches and a few other things.
Santuario: the acai comes only in one size but with a lot of banana...the sandwiches here are better and they serve pastel too.

Favorite Dish: For these who still don't know what I'm talking about...well..AÇAÍ is a brazilian fruit from the northeast. It isn't at all sweet, but we don't eat the fruit alone. When u order it u get a purple mush of AÇAÍ, GUARANA, BANANA and a few other things...sometimes u can even choose with which fruit u wish to mix it.

Both AÇAÍ and GUARANA are fruits with many calories and which give lots of energy. It's a very common dish among surfers!

Cool place with souvenir shop and internet cafe. The menu has many ideas of salty and sweet crepes...vegetarian or non vegetarian...for all tastes...and the fillings are good!

Favorite Dish: Enseada dos Abreus (pumpkin mush, ricota, mussarela, olives and rucola)

The restaurant's ambiance is perfect. trees, wood, shells, candles, insects, sculptures of things found at the beach...
we didn't have much luck with the waitress...she was probably having a bad day...but the food was delicious.

They serve pizzas with seafood and normal ones too...

Favorite Dish: Garlic pizza, shrimp and marguerita

It's not in the city centre and kind of dificult to find but it's worth it. The ambiance is very nice decorated and with light brazilian music.

The owner of the restaurant is the cook and she loves to hear good things about her food and the restaurant in general.

But they serve only seafood!!!

Favorite Dish: A delicious shrimp moqueca (done with coconut milk and dende oil)...it's very tipical in the north of Brazil.
And of course the fried macaxeira/mandioca/aipim (manioc).

There are some excellent restaurants in the island. They are diferent but the food is excellent.
I can sugest Cacimba Bistro, Restaurante do Ze Maria (in the pousada), Ecologicus, Varandão da ilha, Flamboyan (pay per kilo) .
The island is very small, so just walk or ask and you´ll find them.

Favorite Dish: Try the sea food (Risotos, Muquecas, Pastas, and all kind of fishes )
during wednesday and saturday try Ze Maria´s restaurant for a gastronomic dinner.
You have to reserve in advance. You pay R$90 for all you can eat. You can enjoy, lobsters, shrimps, fishes, pastas, japanese food, meats, and everything you imagine you can eat.
