If you want traditional island food..it´s here...they have meats, pasta, but the speciallity is fish on bananeira..
they cook the fish on bananeira´s piece, with salt.. very tasty..
There you can find the original fish on bananeira, invented on the island...
Favorite Dish: fish
it´s a famous place located at island extremity with good sea view and nice food.
I sugest order caldeirada, a traditional food with a lot of sea food with traditional rice and pirão..very tasty....two people eats well..
Other suggestion is the fish filet ( i think barracuda), that brings you a unique flavor, with rice and potato
Ask for Flavio that you´ll be well served..!
Favorite Dish: caldeirada
fish filet( barracuda)
Pirão( traditional food)
This is a place that you canpay a very nice price and eat very well, beecause, Flamboyant brings you a system of kilo food..
It´s a large buffet, wiht salads, meat, pasta .you choose and make your own choices and at final you measure it and the price is according with the weight...practical an good
The little hippy pizza place that is a neighbor to the church in the picture (out of the frame, just to the left of the church - sorry, we didn't take a photo of the restaurant) was fantastic. To me, this place embodied the tropical, laid back, rustic nature of FdN. Small open-air tables are scattered around a centrally located bar, and servers come around every so often to bring your food or new rounds of drinks. On the night we visited, beers and thin-crust style pizza were on the menu - and everything we had was delicious. There were as many people eating here as drinking, and the music was keeping everything lively. People's dress ranged from casual clothes to club clothes, and I did notice that this was one of the few places we dined where beach clothing would have been out of place.
Favorite Dish: Acting on the advice from the woman at our pousada, we stuck to the pizza and beer. The beer was the same Skol that is served just about everywhere on the island, but the pizza and the toppings were fresh and delicious. After a long day of baking on the beach, we were hungry and this place delivered. Prices are reasonable - similar to most places on the island.
Acai e raizes: u can order 300ml, 500ml, 750ml and even 1liter of this energetic fruit mix. They also offer sandwiches and a few other things.
Santuario: the acai comes only in one size but with a lot of banana...the sandwiches here are better and they serve pastel too.
Favorite Dish: For these who still don't know what I'm talking about...well..AÇAÍ is a brazilian fruit from the northeast. It isn't at all sweet, but we don't eat the fruit alone. When u order it u get a purple mush of AÇAÍ, GUARANA, BANANA and a few other things...sometimes u can even choose with which fruit u wish to mix it.
Both AÇAÍ and GUARANA are fruits with many calories and which give lots of energy. It's a very common dish among surfers!
Cool place with souvenir shop and internet cafe. The menu has many ideas of salty and sweet crepes...vegetarian or non vegetarian...for all tastes...and the fillings are good!
Favorite Dish: Enseada dos Abreus (pumpkin mush, ricota, mussarela, olives and rucola)
The restaurant's ambiance is perfect. trees, wood, shells, candles, insects, sculptures of things found at the beach...
we didn't have much luck with the waitress...she was probably having a bad day...but the food was delicious.
They serve pizzas with seafood and normal ones too...
Favorite Dish: Garlic pizza, shrimp and marguerita
It's not in the city centre and kind of dificult to find but it's worth it. The ambiance is very nice decorated and with light brazilian music.
The owner of the restaurant is the cook and she loves to hear good things about her food and the restaurant in general.
But they serve only seafood!!!
Favorite Dish: A delicious shrimp moqueca (done with coconut milk and dende oil)...it's very tipical in the north of Brazil.
And of course the fried macaxeira/mandioca/aipim (manioc).
There are some excellent restaurants in the island. They are diferent but the food is excellent.
I can sugest Cacimba Bistro, Restaurante do Ze Maria (in the pousada), Ecologicus, Varandão da ilha, Flamboyan (pay per kilo) .
The island is very small, so just walk or ask and you´ll find them.
Favorite Dish: Try the sea food (Risotos, Muquecas, Pastas, and all kind of fishes )
during wednesday and saturday try Ze Maria´s restaurant for a gastronomic dinner.
You have to reserve in advance. You pay R$90 for all you can eat. You can enjoy, lobsters, shrimps, fishes, pastas, japanese food, meats, and everything you imagine you can eat.
That´s a cheap choice for you if you want to eat well, including dessert and for a nice price, i think this restaurant is one of the best options...it´s a wooden house, located in Vila dos Remédios...not difficult to find (and what´s difficult to find there?). They have a self-service buffet, including salads, pasta, meat, fish and dessert.
Simple, but very clean and tasty! And the price is not bad....last year, it was seven reais per person...very cheap! The locals go there to eat as well...=P
In Fernando the price of restaurant are more expensive than in the mainland, so for dinner u can try Bio's all u can eat restaurant....hot plate, like cannelloni and white seafoos lasagna ( Lasagan is one of the main dishes of my town, so I never heat it outside, but this one was good), grilled fish, a lot of Nordestino plates, veggy, salted cakes, and good brasilian cake and pudding, like cocada or pudim de leite, free coffe...everything for 10 reais, 3 euros.....
Nice place cause is not only for tourist, policeman, locals go there to heat and in the garden side to play domino!
Favorite Dish: Grilled fish
Moqueca with coco milk and dendè oil
All the cake and pudding
There are only a few good restaurants in Noronha, and Nascimento is definitely one of them. It has a nice atmosphere (no plastic chairs) and a friendly and 'north-eastern' dressed staff.
Favorite Dish: They serve a thrilling Moqueca, a typical brazilian seafood dish, with rice, farofa, pirao, dende oil and ofcourse, fruits-de-mer (in this case: shrimp)
This little place was only open for dinner during the time I was on the island, but it really hit the spot the night I went. The name is Arte e Sabor, which means "Art and Flavor". The walls are adorned with the work of local artists, and if you fancy something, it will more than likely be for sale.
The food is simple: thin pancakes stuffed with local main course offerings and desserts such as jerked beef, seafood, tropical fruit, and so on. The portions (and the prices) are small enough that you can sample a number of different flavors.
Favorite Dish: I liked the Catupiry Shrimp crepe. It is a creamy dish consisting of cooked shrimp in a cheese sause, seasoned in a spicy northeastern Brazil style.
It´s a very simple place, but it seems that everyone in the island goes there to have dinner - maybe because of the amount and diversity of food you can have.
Favorite Dish: I really like a combination of two desserts there, home-made pineapple jam with home-made passion fruit´s icecream.
In the guesthouse only the breakfast was included,it was a simple breakfast, fresh bread, some marmelades, coffe, cheese, fruits.
But,lunch and/or dinner could be order with a previous time of some hours,at least.
We ate dinner at the guesthouse twice, and we could choose between vegetarian, steak or seafood.
I took the seafood, and it was very good, fried with garlic and honey,I keep using this recipe since!
