If you go to a scuba diving or just snorkling, rent a underwater camera with NIlda in the Pousada do Mano, near the Biu´s Restaurant, for only R$75 a day, and she burns a CD (all included). If you prefer buy 3 pictures with the divers company for R$50 :(

I think the whole package-deal is a tourist trap. It is not necessary to take the package, you'll end up in a buggy with driver (why have a driver when you rent a buggy?), and in a pousada of the tourist agencies choice (probably Morena). These are more expensive ($50 instead of 50 reais)
Fun Alternatives: Find somebody who speaks Portuguese and let him/her arrange your stay. it will save you money and give you flexibility!

Once you booked a trip,boat,guided walks,guided drives with a dune-buggys,whatever,don't be late because the guy is leaving you behind!
The guides have to pick up guests for many other guesthouses and from the hotel,they really don't wait for anyone!
We lost a buggy trip around the archipelago in a dune- buggy,and no money back!
Than,we had to take our legs,and found the treasures ourselves!!

In Fernando de Noronha there are many agency that offers tour. On these tours, you kinda get stucked. You always have to do whathever the plan is and always wait everybody get together and sometimes waste your time where you don't want to stay and if you like the beach and want to stay longer there, you can't because the tour has to go on. Also, when taking pictures, you always have to wait everybody take theirs, if you don't want strangers on your photos.
Fun Alternatives: I would suggest you to rent a buggy and get around the Island by yourself. It's not hard at all, since there are directions to every beach and trails. However, since there are some beaches or trails that are closed to the public or trails that requires a guide, check it out before you going to them.
