Find a bus -line between two destinations

by mangueirense

This web-page helps you (better as the other one mentioned above, 'cause it includes all cities in Brazil ) to know which bus companies go to which places in Brasil and some countries like Argentina, etc. It's in portuguese but it's quite easy to use.You have to choose the names of origin and destiny cities.First select the state of the city you want to go from and to (selecione um estado) then you type in the city names , like for example "Rio de Janeiro" and Foz do Iguacu".Or you go on "Verificar" (verify) and type in just the first three letters of the city names, then you will get a selection of names. If there are direct buses between the 2 cities you get a screen with the names of the bus companies who has this destination on the schedules .Click in ( pre?os das passagens) to know the prices.Click in (horarios e frequencias ) for the schedules. If there aren't direct buses ( nenhum...

how to get from sao paulo to ubatuba

by rkearns

i don't know about a shuttle, but buses run to and from and take about 5 hrs. the drive is beautiful!just go to the main terminal in sao paulo to buy a ticket either the day before or the day of.(rodoviaria tiete)

Rio de Janeiro - Rodoviaria

by ant1606

The main bus terminal in Rio (named Novo Rio) is quite far from the "heart" of the city - that is Copacabana and Ipanema beaches - where everybody wants to be.Other than expensive cab rides, two bus lines connect to and from the bus terminal. Two of these are operated by Real company - maybe there are more - and are line numbers 126 and 127. Both start from Avenida Nossa Senhora de Copacabana near Ipanema. The 126 line is to be preferred as it has air conditioning for a price, the one-way fare is 4.40 Reais, comfortable and definitely to be preferred to the more crowded 127 bus line which has a one-way fare of 2.70 Reais.

Foz do Iguaçu to Florianopolis

by ant1606

Pluma bus company has comfortable coaches connecting Foz and Florianopolis. The reclining seats make the journey a bit easier than a standard airplane seat which is much desirable as the journey takes about 16 hours. The roads are rough enough to rock your sleep. Long way through the night with only a few stops, a couple of which are by eateries which have, of course, a larger toilet than the one on the bus. Standard class one-way fare was 122 Reais (Aug 2010) while the lower level wider seats belong to a higher class, probably not worth paying twice the price unless for people having a large body.Luggage is stowed in a dedicated bus compartment. The typical flight "carry-on" dimensions won't fit on the top shelf above the seats.Another option is Catarinense coach line company.

How to get in Jericoacoara beach, Brazil

by georgerockbr

Jericoacoara = "The snake hole and the alligator bed". Pronouce [dgé-ree-koa-koa-rah]You can take a flight to Fortaleza, Ceará state in Brazil and after you arrived there you should rent a car (4 wheels drive) to drive to a tiny small city called Jijoca. Asphalt paved road. From Jijoca you'll need the 4 wheels drive car to get in Jericoacoara beach driving among Jericoacoara dunes. I suggest you taking drinking water for this route. There is a gravel runway in Jijoca [ 2º 53.0' S / 40º 28.0' W ] for light planes. 127 NM from Fortaleza airport. In fact I have made many landings in Jijoca gravel runway with Cessna Citation V, a jet business plane for 2 crew plus 9 passengers. I strongly recommend that any jet aircraft has installed a nose-wheel spin-up to land on gravel runway like that in Jijoca. You can watch a video showing myself in such aircraft operation on my blog Aviation...

getting from rio to lima

by rkearns

yeah i would do a flight as well. the bus fare is going to be outrageous for that distance, not to mention the number of hours spent in the bus. TAM, GOL, and Azul are some major carriers (i think GOL and VARIG have merged). i have always found decent prices on expedia. i have seen people post that the bus ride from rio to sao paulo is 5-6 hrs but from what i remember, it was more like 8 hrs on a red eye.hope that helps a bit.
