The minibus we got around in
    by jsepulve
I took a 10 excursion starting from Chaiten and ending in Coyhaque.
The excursion included mountain biking, trekking, horseback riding, a day of rafting and camping. It was spectacular!!! We got around in a minibus and stayed a couple of nights in hospedajes. One night we had a patagonia style barbacue.
We visited a couple of National Parks: Pumalin, Quelat. We visited Lago Yelcho, Lago Verde, Futaleufu, Puerto Cisnes. Along the journey we also we to a couple of hot springs.
It was worth every penny, and the guides were excelent.

90km north of turn-off to iquique,on panamerica.from iquique,on the left side of panamerican, you'll see an isolated old house, british style overlooking a forgotten yard...
built in 1855 for a british nitrate family....ask the owners for the key to pay a visit to a nostalgic testimony of the nitrate era,the old very british cemetery where you'll find the james humberstone's grave...
don't forget to bring back the key, please!
