Copiapó Things to Do

  • by wrjones Written Jan 24, 2004

If you have an interest in rocks, minerals and a few fossils, the museum is a good place to spend an hour or two. There are hundreds of specimens to peruse from all over the world. If you could read and understand Spanish, you might even learn quite a bit. The displays are pretty impressive.

Since the original Hao Hwa was closed and had a big lock on the gate, we didn't know what to expect at the Hao Hwa 2. Luckily, not only was it open, but it was a large place, very clean and nicely furnished. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The meal was some of the best Chinese food we had in Chile. The menu of the day for two was 6600P/$11. Beer was 1000P and soft drink 600P. We had plenty to eat and again, it was very good.
The bathrooms were clean and had both (surprise!) toilet paper and hand towels.

Favorite Dish: We had a combination plate. Everything on it was very good.
