I came across this little gem of a place in 2008. It is a cute little cafe located inside the cultural center in central Osorno. The owner who attended us was super friendly and very keen to make sure that the items we had ordered were to our liking. I would certainly come here again.
The cafe has WiFi available for customers.
Favorite Dish: There are all sorts of coffee´s to try and they also specialise in ¨jarabes naturales¨which are like a natural syrup/juice.
Dino's is more like a diner than a restaurant. They serve everything from salads and sandwiches through to steak, chicken or pork chops. The restaurant is centrally located on one of the corners of the main square.
Favorite Dish: I like the pork chops with a salad or chips to accompany or the lomito sandwich.
The Espantapajaros restaurant is located just past Puerto Octay with a view over Lago Llanquihue across to the Osorno volcano. They have animals in the area like llamas and ostriches. The restaurant is cosy inside with a buffet style service that is quick and of excellent quality. The buffet costs 9000 pesos per person.
The restaurant is open from Sunday to Thursday from 12 to 17:30 and o Fridays and Saturdays from 12 to 21:00.
Favorite Dish: The boar roast is my favourite.
This steakhouse a little drive out of town is a well known place in Osorno. The steaks come from the Frigosorno company and are known for their quality cuts.
Favorite Dish: I usually order the Lomo Vetado and the salad bar. They have a trolley of different salad options and so you can pick your own items to make up a salad. Of course I accompany this with a nice red wine.
This is a cosy restaurant with great food and a good wine cellar to select from. Choose the cut of steak you like and they will cook it to you taste on the open BBQ in the back kitchen. There are sides of salads, potatoes or rice.
Favorite Dish: I always enjoy the Lomo Vetado with a Ensalada Chilena (tomato with onion - a typical Chilean salad) and a red wine.
This retaurant is a new restaurant, bar and lounge centrally located in Osorno. The menu is a refreshing change from beef steaks which is the specialty of the region.
Favorite Dish: I have tried the Brocheta de Ave which was really nice. The salads are good also. A friend ate the Tilapia (a kind of fish) and enjoyed it.
Del Piero Restaurant is a cosy restaurant which is centrally located. The service is friendly.
Favorite Dish: The menu contains pasta dishes, steak, fish, seafood, salads
