At least here is a picture of new production facilities. Its a large hall with lots of stainless steel tanks, where the wines are fermented. A part of them is also stored here, further they use them to rack the wines.
If you have a closer look to the picture, you can also see these small oak barrels, called "barrique". In normal cases great red wines are stored in such small barrels and they are absolutely necessary to get a great wine.

This is the yard of the winery. It looks very green and it is richly decorated with different plants like palms, flowers, bushes and a lot more.

The surrounded landscape is also very beautiful. It was much nicer here than in the wine regions south of Santiago. The climate here is very influenced by the near Andes. This means that cool air comes down and makes it a little bit more enjoyable.
So the plants don't dry as quickly as elsewhere. Have a look on my picture to see more of it.

Many of the chilenian wineries has wonderful fountains. The Errazuriz winery is no exept. It all looked very great with the vinyards in the background.

This is picture of a Errázuriz vineyard. It was interesting that they planted roses between the vines. First I do not know why they do it, but now I know it.
The roses are used as a warning system. Roses are very sensitive on insects and other illnesses and when the vintner realizes that the roses suffer from an illnesses, he has to hurry up and do something against it ....

This is the same building but inside. In former days all the wine casks and barrels stand here and the wine was produced and stored at this place.
Today it is a big hall which is used for different events. There are arranged parties and balls, and they also rent it to people who are interested in.
Hmmm... a party in such an old wine cellar would be a great idea ... in my opinion...

"Vina Errázuriz", that´s the orginial name in spanish, is a very old and traditional winery. It was founded in the middle of the 19th century. I loved the old architecture which gives it a french and spanish flair ....
The picture shows the old production hall. It looks nice, doesn´t it? Everything looks so well-cared here.
