"Don Maximiano" is the flagship vineyard and is planted with classic varieties of Bordeaux: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah.
And the wine has the same name as the vineyard and it is made only in good years. But in Chile it is easy to produce good wine because of the perfect climate ... and so each vintage becomes good.

The "Don Maximiano" vineyard is located just behind the winery. It is a unique vineyard in Chile. Unique, because it is planted on a slope. All the other wineries in Chile has planted their vineyards in plains only ....
In normal cases vineyards are planted only in the plains in such hot areas because they ripe quickly. On slopes it is even hotter and so they could ripe to fast. All the flavors and elegance is gone lost then!
