    Agua Bendita: Heavenly Delights

I came across Agua Bendita one night while I was walking around El Poblado with Natalie. I immediately fell in love with this shop and just loved every single piece. As I already intended to by a new swimsuit from the beginning of my trip I knew I was going to return the next day. Fortunately, the shop was just two blocks from Hostal Tamarindo where I was staying.

Agua Bendita was founded in 2003 by Catalina Alvarez and Mariana Hinestroza, owners and designers of the brand. The brand combines handmade elements with technological processes, resulting in very unique and exclusive pieces. Agua Bendita offers in an innovative way Colombian handicrafts, and this combination of crafts and hi-tech materials is what makes the brand unique and avant-garde. The handicrafts of each piece are made by women experts, using embroideries with threads, beads and small buttons, patchworks, adornments with roses made of crepe, pearls, embroidered flowers by hand, a real mix of fabrics and textures. Each swimsuit has a very feminine appearance as a result of the combination of vibrant colours and the highest quality materials. This makes every swimsuit a very unique piece of art - pretty, fresh, funky and sensuous. Heavenly Delights, that's the name of the latest collection.

What to buy: Agua Bendita offers swimsuits, dresses, T-shirts, shorts, pareos, bags and accessories.

I bought a nice swimsuit embroidered with the traditional mola of the Kunas, a beautiful piece of art. It was 195.000 COP. That's a lot, I know, but compared to 182,60 € on the internet it was quite a good price. Certainly the most that I ever payed for something like this though worth every Colombian peso or Euro for the quality and beauty :)

What to pay: quite expensive for Colombian as well European standards
